xday – Project 3 by aXy

Some nice frags from Anthoney “xday” Levaltier. I have now played a little bit DoD:S public so I have atleast some idea how nice killing sprees these here are. It was enjoyable to watch. Stable entirety with some cool little effects here and there. Which parts I liked more in the movie were the clips during the Linkin Park and Jay-Z’s songs.

It Wasn’t Me by Lucky Luke

Entertaining and laid-back movie. Shaggy made it here since I liked the song. Frags were ok and editing was clean. Kind of a “sunday-chill-out” frag movie which has nothing special. Except I really lolled at the minigun scene. Not a bad movie but not so great really. If there were more synced frags it would have been cooler.

Back to the original stuff! Here’s a movie with very solid editing. “Original” stuff with those slow-mo’s and successful glow. Really enjoyed watching this movie since it was a CS:S movie which I hadn’t watched for a while. Frags were very good which was expected because the frag clips were from all over the world. Well done movie!

Against All Odds by [½]3

Here’s some TF2 action again. Now this is nice! Really succeeded movie from “half-three”. You can actually see how this movie has been worked and planned for a long time, or atleast it feels like it. Much frag movie stuff from two good players and every frag is nice. Clean edit gives the profit to the frags too and music is smooth and flowing.

zP! Highlights of the Week 20/2010 by Rodo

A zP!’s HOTW again here but this one really caught my eye. I think it’s because of the suprisingly long killing sreaks though there isn’t many of them. Again a clean edit movie but the frags are wicked. Always such a fun to watch professionals play.

Forget by Sensitive Pictures

Enough of those clean edit movies? Well here you go! Sun is shining, bodies falling fast, effects are dancing and there’s a party in every three dimensions. It’s just that if it were like few minutes longer and 3n19ma put just a little more effort to the 3D-effects. If that would have happened this movie would have reached to the group of the masterpiece’s. But anyway it is awesome! Frags are that stuff what a sick movie needs and good soundtrack with attitude. But still just those two things: lenght and 3D.. Too bad.

EPS Season 3

When you decided to join RCTIC you immediately participated WCG qualifiers, how did it go?

The qualifiers went as expected. I finished 4th, being beaten 2-0 by SivariKing, ranked 2nd and finishing 3rd, in the winners quarterfinals. And I was eliminated from the tournament 2-1 by entomo, ranked 1 and finishing 1st in the losers semi-finals. I regret not playing Hemosa, ranked 3rd and finishing 2nd. I probably could’ve beaten him.

Are you satisfied with your organization?

RCTIC is amazing. It’s a great honour to be the first fighting game player in an organisation in Finland. And it’s all thanks to RCTIC. The crew is professional and fun to be with at the same time so couldn’t be better. Hoping for a long partnership. :)

What are your future goals and are we gonna hear from you more in the future?

To be #1 in Tekken in Finland and to develop as a human being. To improve the fighting game & esports scene in Finland. Definitely will hear more. See you at ESPC!

Why did you choose fighting games over shooting games for example?

I’ve played on the PC for over 15 years, including a lot of shooters. I’ve done my share of CS (Over 3 years competitively) and lately TF2 (almost a year competitively). I’ve also played loads of RTS games, especially C6C3 & StarCraft. StarCraft II is looking really promising. But for the last 1.5 years it’s been mostly fighting games (Tekken 6, Street Fighter IV & Super Street Fighter IV, Blazblue: Calamity Trigger & Blazblue: Conti

Do you have any other hobbies besides playing?

I exercise a lot – jogging, stretching, taiji, yoga, floorball, football. And I organise events: Tracon, Tampere Kuplii (local ComicCon), Desucon, ESPC, Rautanyrkki etc. to name a few. I also read a lot of books, mostly philosophy & psychology. I also watch a lot of TV series & movies. I also follow many different esports scenes in addition to fighting games, of course.

What is your favorite food?

Chinese tofu. I’m a lacto ovo pesco vegetarian.

Finally: What do you think about these words?

Sweden – Finland’s neighbour, the country to progress over next in fighting games. Might take a while…

Half maraton – something I hope I can run if under pressure. But nowadays I don’t really have time for long jogs. Instead I mostly do High Intensity Interval Training as a shorter, more brutal jog during mornings with an empty stomach.

Mad Pistols 3 by Joker

Here’s some pistol ownage from CS 1.6! I liked it very much since it has easy but awesome bunch of pistol syncs. It’s very enjoyable and entertaining to watch. The kills were nice too. The only problem of the movie is that it is just a little bit too short. One minute more and it would have been pretty much better since it’s pretty creative and new pistol movie. You know, the cool 3D intro takes 1/4 of the movie lenght. But nice full action minimovie anyways!

Oh, Pendulum starts to play again. No matter, good song. But yea, the movie: it’s a feast of editing. VERY well done editing and some fun creative ideas there. Too bad it was a little bit laggy in some parts or it might just be my computer.. The frags were basic montage and sick shots as you could expect from a good movie. Nice minimovie though it could have been longer, again.

Hmph. The soundtrack.. Didn’t really like it though it fitted there pretty good. That song sounded like it would being played in a russian frontier extacy partyhouse with a bunch of fucked up dancing drugaddicts thinking where the fuck they are. (Ok what?) So, back to the movie! It felt like that same extacy stuff. It was very fast paced and weird. Frags were nice and +1 that they are from the same player. It was ok directed too but I hope he doesn’t put the same kind of music into his next movie.. And lenght 1:32! C’mon!

I didn’t want to make this time’s corner CS-only thingy so I digged out a TF2 movie from somewhere to stable the situation. And it’s the only movie which is over 3 minutes in this times corner! (Applauses) But yea, I still failed to stable the situation in my opinion. Why? Cause this movie was boring in the end.. Didn’t like it that much. Some frags were like kamikaze stuff and even the death was shown there. I think it shows somewhat must-get-a-frag-for-the-movie kinda thing. But there were some good multiple frags too, I admit. I still expected better. It’s only a clean frag movie so can’t expect much but still.

Our journey has been very rewarding: we have been grown up from a small organisation with a pair of squads and few managers into a big community supporting many squads and equipped with an excellent taskforce. We may announce with a good conscience that it is extremely difficult to find this great people from Finland which we have in our organisation and we feel very privileged because we can work with these people. Step by step we are on our way to reach our goal to be the most respected online game organisation in Finland. So this is not the end point; this is just a waypoint on this enjoyable journey.

In the beginning of this year we moved our website from the old WebSpell to prepage which has been a lot more compact than our old site. Meanwhile we have been talking much about new upcoming website to our organisation. The schedule has been stretched and stretched but it will be relased in due time. We have also renewed our shirtmodels and other graphics on the way. The changes have been small but they have kept the organisation spirited. However now it is time to take the next big step towards the facelift!

Some may have already noticed that we have used our new blue-black logo somewhere. Originally it was supposed to be relased with the new website but in our opinion it is better to start rebranding now, not tomorrow. So welcome the new logo designed by furri which bears the name REVO!

I am Jan-Erik “furri” Mattsson, AD of RCTIC. I’m 24 years hard working dude and I like doing some graphics. Back in 2008 I was one of RCTIC’s founders. Before that I was in Red-Sky Gaming from where I left because the management wasn’t putting enough efforts to organization and after CMAX folded, some familiar guys came to ask if I had interest to something new business. And then things started to roll and here we are.

In previous post was speculated my comeback to RCTIC and lots of people must have been wondering that where in the hell have I been. I can honestly say that I was in the world of WoW where I ended up after my brother told me to try it and that’s where I used to spend my time for about 1,5 years. Then my common-law wife managed to get some common sense to my head and I stopped playing WoW. Besides playing I spend nearly all of my spare time to develop my friend’s companies websites, advertisements and so on. Those projects ended around 6 months ago when I found IRC from my computer and decided to go and check how’s RCTIC been during my time away. When I joined the channel I was a bit shocked. All the guys made a really warm welcome to me as I’d be their brother. There was a lot of questions and things to talk about before I managed to ask if my help was still needed. I think that guys had missed me for a bit.

I have been activily back in business 4 months for now and got motivation to keep going. I attended Assembly Summer 2010 where I was cheering our teams and many persons have probably seen me there. I apologize for all who said “hi” to me but I didn’t know you but it’s nice that you know me. But now time to move on and go to blog’s real theme.

Sometime ago I took part in competition organized by Gaming.fi, where people had to design new mouse for SteelSeries. And as a surprise, I managed to win! The design I did was named as SteelSeries SPORA | RCTIC Edition. As a reward I will get SteelSeries Xai gaming mouse.

It’s almost 1:00 am and SaMZ and me are still trying to prepare at my place for a tomorrow’s sponsor meeting. Most important parts is almost ready and soon we have go to get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a great day. Wish us luck!

As I haven’t written any blogs before I think I should start by giving a little introduction to who I am. So, my name is Joonas Järvinen, I am a 22 year old student from Vaasa. I am one of the founding members of RCTIC, which have been an interesting road this far and hopefuly it just gets better! And I am also leader of RCTIC DoD:S team. Our team has been in RCTIC for longest time, I think we joined RCTIC at march of 2009 or something like that so I think it is pretty respectable (as we really only have changed couple of players) time for a team involved in eSports where people join and quit organizations for like two months.

So, now on to the real deal, how is it going for us, as expected we haven’t really been able to practice us much as usual since it’s summer and people has better things to do than play games (or shittier thing as I have only been working since I need money to pay my rent) so we have just tried to play as much as we could, won couple of night cups against randoms and that’s about it. Good thing is that next ESL EMS season is on it’s way and we are waiting for it. Our last EMS season was a little disappointing but I am hoping we can win at this time! I think this is it for this time. PS: Keep giving us information of what you want for our new website so snd knows what to do!
