On next day we woke up around the noon due to last night when we went to sleep quite late. CS 1.6 team’s semfinal was scheduled to start in couple of hours so they started to get ready for leaving to venue. We had only one car in use so we started to figure out how to get to venue. However we found out that it wasn’t possible to get there by car so we had to make it by some other way. Before we left to venue we still played a bit of Guitar Hero.

The schedule at Solid Mojo were quite nicely delayed and due to that I didn’t have a chance to write anything or publish and photos from the event-area. After all there was around 600 photos in my camera’s memory card. After weekend with lots of work and great experiences it’s anyways good to write an overview from the event, even it’s already been few days since event ended.
My own trip started early in Friday morning in a bit tired mood. I made it to the train with what I was ment to be in Helsinki about 2pm. Schedule was really tight and it became even more tight since train was late once again for some reason..

As in our review of first day at Solid Mojo was mentioned, our Counter-Strike 1.6 team was the only team from our organization who made it throught to playoffs with placing second in their group just after PlayZone.
Today was time for playoffs and first was the semifinals. Our team faced team of eXelong Gaming which contained some famous names in Finnish scene such as Joona “natu” Leppänen and Slaava “Twista” Räsänen. Our team didn’t have much of chances and eXelon took victory by 2-0 score and made it to the grand final while our team was sent into the bronze match. Few hours ago our team played their bronze match where they faced
munkka. Munkka overran (16-3) their map choice which was de_train. Our team chose de_inferno and this time it was our team who was likely overrunning as score after two both halfs was 16-7 in favour of our team. Last map and deciding one was de_nuke. Our team managed to start this map on the so called “easier side”, CT’s. However, munkka was giving some hard time and they managed to get a 8-7 lead after first half. Then our team fought back well and was giving some hard time to munkka but after all munkka decided to grap the needed rounds ending the map in score of 16-13. This ment that munkka placed 3rd and our team got 4th placement from the very first lan under our name! Congratulations boys!
Oh and by the way, our Team Fortress 2 player, Ville “robo” Seikkula, took a part in Heroes of Newerth (HoN) 5on5 with his friends. They managed to win this tournament and will receive the prize money of 500€!
So, first day here at Solid Mojo is over and second day is going on and we’re soon getting live with the non-byoc tournament’s matches. We had total of three teams competing here as Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source and Call of Duty 4 teams joined in non-byoc tourneys.
But how the first day went for our teams after all? Well, the day wasn’t a really great success, but not big failure either. Our CS:S and CoD4 team’s journey unfortunately ended up in groupstages with both teams placing 4th. But our CS 1.6 team managed to make it through to playoffs which means they’re already in top4! Below you can find all groupstage matches from our team’s.

Hi! I’m Joona “Jonsku” Ilves, I live in Finland and my favourite sport is eSports.
I have played online games since ’00, and my eSports career started with game named Action Quake 2. Nowadays I dont play so often than before, I don’t know whether it is boredom, or just the fact that I do not have the time for it, but still I’m here!
I came to RCTIC in january, when PassengeR asked me if I wanted to come shoot some photos, and do some little things like posting stuff to facebook etc. Now I have been five months in RCTIC, and if these guys want rid of me, they have to fight for it – I’m not leaving! There have been so much hilarious moments on lan events and bootcamps, so if laughter could kill me, I would have already died!
This weekend we are on lan event called “Solid Mojo” with 3 squads of RCTIC members.
On thursday we got our new t-shirts, just hanged out and played console games with Janne, Nico and Teppo, and had nice evening, laughter was big part of it too.
Friday was first LAN day. When we arrived to Energia Areena, whitch is place where Solid Mojo is, we start unpacking and all things wasn’t like they supposed to be. My videocam battery was empty, and charger was in home and Janne left he’s mouse to home by accidentally, so he had to play with some borrowed mouse. When we get over from bigger problems, everything was fine.
How did games go? Well, the only RCTIC team which reached semifinal yesterday was RCTIC.cs, so good luck to today games to them, we will cheer you up to victory!
And last but not least, me! This weekend has so far been fantastic like always with these guys, and it was nice to meet other RCTIC players in real life too. I have sneezed all weekend because of my allergies, but so far I’m alive. Hopefully today is gonna be at least as nice as yesterday, but if it’s better than yesterday – it’s gonna be sick!
But now it is time to say bye for a while, thanks for reading etcetc and I write again when it feels like that – you newer know when writerbee bites!
So long and have fun!
Wazzap fellas! Here we are at Solid Mojo with lots of RCTIC players/managers hanging around, including me. A total of 26 from our organization is here at somepoint of event or even during the whole event. As I mentioned in my last blog, this lan-event is my first one I’ve attended and this is quite great. Amazing atmosphere over here even tho the event isn’t as large as it could have as there was like 1000-1100 computer seats but after all there’s only like around 250-300 and not all even have been filled.
But then to main thing, hows the games going? Well, as usually on lan-events, there’s some delays on here also with the schedule. All games are delayed about two hours from the predicted schedule. Our CoD4 team already played their first match and CS:S team is starting or have already started their match against Team Menace.fi. Later on we’re going to do an overview from our team’s first matches in this event
Today RCTIC will head over to Vantaa with over 20 of it’s members! Our latest intel says that 26 of our players and managers will be coming. It’s going to be wild!
Is there a reason you can’t make it to Vantaa to watch our games? Don’t panic. We know that our website can’t handle all the published material from the event, so we need to narrow it down a bit. With these next instructions you will be able to get all the latest info from the spot!
Follow this website
We’ll be publishing majority of the material here. We’ll be writing blogs and news about the scores, publishing pictures and posting videos from YouTube. We’re trying to inform about other events and contest on our website too. Our goal is to publish atleast 15 posts about the event.
We’re not linking our latest news and upadates on our Facebook page. This beacuse people might be afraid of the amount of spam. We’re not ditching Facebook for the event, instead we’re releasing new photos taken with our mobilephones and we’ll be writing some feelings about the event.
All of the videomaterial from the event will be on YouTube. We’re manning 1 videocamera, wichfrom we’re trying to push new material during the event.

Our managers are serving there, so you will get the fastest answers to your questions. Even some of our Players might visit our channel during the event.
Today We Rock!!!
Wassup people! This is my first blog post, so don’t judge me too hard.
I’ll introduce myself first, I’m 18 years old dude from Rauma. I’ve been playing a few games competitive before picking up TF2, I started with Counter-Strike 1.6 which I played with my irl friends and after a while I moved to CS:S which I didn’t play for too long, cause I fell in love with DotA which I played for kinda long as a tourney player, but it ended when I got kicked out of team I was playing in. These days I play under the RCTIC flag a game called tf2 as a soldier.
So, now I’ll introduce the people on my team, which I have come know so well in these past weeks, and the loving RCTIC organization.
JackieBoy is our teams leader and very lovable person to be playing with. Always happy and cheerful which is one of the reason I like to play with these guys
shu a.k.a sanhu is the medic of our team, he was a scout first but due to player changes. He switched to medic class and been doing fine and is getting better and better after every game.
TucE in the other hand is our team Demoman. He is cute that’s all I have to say about him. But in the more serious way, I couldn’t have a funnier guy in our team and it’s plus that he is cute, and occasionally he kills people.
zermu is my soldier partner, don’t have nothing much to say about him, he just never talks and kills people, and occasionally listens to HIM, because he is a graverobber or somekinda of madman.
Lille is our newest addition to our team because of Yerted’s leave from our team, we have been playing with him few weeks and all I can still say that he know how to shoot and is very likable person. I’ll know more of him when I meet him up on this week end solid mojo lan.
Now for the end I got few words to say about solid mojo which our team won’t be playing on but will be on there to have fun and hanging around with the other RCTIC members which there will be over 20 and that’s kinda a lot of people attending one LAN! Personally I am excited about the fact that I get to meet my team members irl, expect for zermu he is too poor to come Helsinki and hang around with us, I’m sorry for him. Wanted to meet him too, but nothing always goes like it should.
I’ll end up my post now, so I wont bore you with this anymore. But I guess you are, have to check mine posts later on!
