In finnish eSports scene there is never enough of friends. Our Counter-Strike: Source team has been good friends with equivalent team from another finnish organization, Team Menace.fi. After managers from both organizations met at Assembly Winter 2010 LAN earlier this year, we have decided to start partnership, which will surely benefit both parties. So for now on you can see news of Team Menace.cs:s here at rctic.org and our news at team-menace.org.
Team Menace.fi is finnish multigaming organization which main target is to be Finlands’ best team on all competitive games. The organization was born in year 2006 from the ashes of Battlefield 2 team. Currently Team Menace.fi has two different gaming teams: Call of duty 4 and Counter Strike: Source.
Hello our fellow fans! As you surely have noticed, our CS:S team have permormed quite well lately. For example, they surprised lots of people who were following
Winter Assembly 2010 event as they managed to make it to playoffs with only one round difference to
eXelon Gaming. In playoffs then faced two better teams but still they managed to place 4th, which was really great job from our guys!
But, unfortunately, our team faces some changes now..
Harath has decided to stop active playing and therefor he left the team. So, of course our team started immediately looking for replacement for Harath and after some testing they have found the player who completes our CS:S team’s lineup again. And this player is none other than
Aleksi “recci” Ahonen, who has played in our team and also in Afterlife in the past.
Statement by Sami “SaMZ” Lönnberg:
“After Harath decided to quit playing cs:s active we had to start looking for new player to replace him. We had many possibilites, who could replace him but after all recci was the best choice as he has been part of our team in the past and fits the team really well with his peacefull playing-style.”
Statement by Aleksi “recci” Ahonen:
“Playing CS:S started to interest again and then SaMZ contacted me if I was interested in of the open spot in their team. It was easy decision to join up with them as I know some of the players already and that they are doing their job well. I was having a break from gaming due to irl commitments and Im focusing on this team as much as needed.”

We wish good luck for our great teammate Harath, what ever he decides to do in the future!
Our CS:S team have placed 4th at Winter Assembly 2010 event after losing to troublemakerz in bronzematch with mapwins of 2-0 (de_train & de_dust2). But overall, this event was a big success for our team as it was a big surprise to make it into playoffs with only one more rounds won than eXelon Gaming, who didn’t make it to playoffs. As Team zOo and eXelon Gaming was favourites of our group to advance to playoffs, no one thought that we would make it to playoffs so therefor our top4 placement is really big surprise. But congrats for our boys once again for grabbing 4th place!
There is also a VoD available from the semifinal RCTIC vs KOJOTSONLINE, you can check it over here
