Most fun in a event

This must be playz.se 2007 lan even that was held in Stockholm, Sweden. It was my first lan tournament abroad and that made it exciting. The event at itself wasn’t the best since the pc’s were crappy and people had huge issues with fps, but still it was an awesome experience. Going abroad with some great guys and seeing what it’s like to go abroad for a tournament. Besides that the after party was great with some of the most awesome guys that I’ve met in eSports!

The most awesome team in my eSports history

This one is a hard one. It must be either a team called etheca or the current RCTIC Day of Defeat:Source team ( yes I used to play with them before I retired from active gaming. ). For now I can’t decide wich one has given me better memories. Both of teams had/has some great guys in them and I am still in touch with my old team mates.

Best moment in online gaming

Hmm.. Yeah it must be the qualifier game with a polish Day of Defeat team that was called Steelhand. I can’t really remember who we were playing against, but we lost the game but it was one of my best moments as a player. It goes above everything that I’ve won or so.

Best memory in lan gaming

Maybe in 2005 in konexion lan event that was held in Lohja, Finland. Me and my friend attended the Counter-Strike 1.6 2v2 competition and gave some top players hard time and eventually we placed 3^rd or 4^th. Me and my friend had so much fun fragging down enemies in de_train :D

The idea was to name just some of the best moments and experiences in esports but I just have to shout out one of the worst things.

The worst lan even

Yeah it’s MindTrekLan 2004, oh my god it was just horrible. Seriously you couldn’t go to the mens bathroom without a nasa equipment. There was piss all over the place and it was just discusting.

So what has been going on besides the TF2 tournament? I got a new job and started at the company last monday as a Front End Developer and so far it’s been great. I am still coding my first project up in there, but the crew that I’m working with is super you just can’t get better people around you at work. My job besides doing html and css is installing the layouts for content management system and ofcourse customer service and bug fixing wich I haven’t done yet, maybe next week or so. :)

What comes for me and RCTIC ? I’ve been figuring out some new ways to keep you fans entertained and one thing has crossed my mind and went above others. An article with a interview from some of my close friends and family about gaming and how do they see esports and how my gaming has influenced them in life. Should be interesting but more about that later, maybe.

For now I’ll rest my “case” and wish you all good upcoming spring ( if it never comes ). Peace!

In the past 3 months I’ve been trying to play some HoN but it seems that it ain’t my thing and after my military service ended quite fast I decided to start my job at RCTIC eSports club and so far it’s been fun. Lots to do and being organizers is my thing for sure. Why? Well I like to handle things that players just don’t have time to? Isn’t that why people join organizations? I like to quide them towards better future and keep their motivation up and running that they can give their best in the battlefields. So what comes to the topic of this blog post, eSports from my perspective is a growing business that needs people to run it. I am not the big shot in this business but I do my best to make everything run smoothly.

Ou yeah, what comes to our teams. We just recruited an awesome TF2 crew that has lots of potential and motivation to become a top team in near future plus they are really nice guys, so I am looking forward to work with them. What else? Well some sad news I am afraid, our Day of Defeat:Source squad lost to SaTaN666 in EMS more about that some day when I get more information what is next. Maybe an interview? Who knows.

So my name is Teemu “snd” Jylhänmaa, I am 20 years old male from Turku, Finland. For a longtime I have consumed my freetime with different jobs in esports. For an example I played day of defeat for a long time ( like 7 years or so ) and after that my interest went to the big bad wolf that is called World of Warcraft. But situation tend to take a u-turn and go another way around. But enough about my gamer profile, In 2008 and 2009 I have worked in such organisations as cZar Gaming, 4kings, Northwave Ga and TheLastResort in different jobs. Mainly as News Editorial, Creative Director and Graphical Artist but also as a General Manager.

I just returned from army and my motivation towards esports have never been this high. I’ll promise to show it to you guys. Really, I do!

But to the main question? What am I expecting from RCTIC in year 2010? Great events, popularity, high level esports and some great content on our upcoming website. We will be your source for great content in 2010! That I can promise.

But as I have told something about myself, it’s time for you to show your support and tell us what you want us to do in 2010.
