TF2 team brings in Yerted to replace vitalis

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Almost one month ago we announced that we’re bringing in Team Fortress 2 team. Since then they’ve been doing quite ok but now they’re already facing some changes in their team. [flag fi] Anders “vitalis” Anderssen leaves the team due to motivation problems. To replace vitalis, our TF2 team have decided to bring in [flag fi] Matti “Yerted” Virtanen to team. Yerted isn’t well-known player yet even he isn’t new face in the scene. He had quite long break but he decided to make a comeback after [flag fi] Winter Assembly 2010 event and ended up to our team.

RCTIC.tf2 after changes:

[flag fi] Santeri “sanhu” Valkeejärvi
[flag fi] Jack “JackieBoy” Tarvajärvi
[flag fi] Otto “WRYYY” Kivikärki
[flag fi] Timo “Taimou” Kettunen
[flag fi] Jeremias “zermu” Heinonen
[flag fi] Matti “Yerted” Virtanen

Good luck to our team and Yerted in the upcoming competitions!

TF2 in ASRock Challenge

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Our Team Fortress 2 team will be starting their first tournament under RCTIC’s name  today! They’ve signed into ASROCK Challenge that is organized by ASRock and esportsheaven.

RCTIC TF2 might be facing teams such as Dignitas, Power Gaming and Blight Gaming in this massive tournament that has 128 signed teams. The winner of this tournament will receive 6xASRock H55M Pro motherboards.

I had a chat with JackieBoy from RCTIC.TF2 lineup about his and the teams thoughts of this upcoming tournament.

Sup JackieBoy, How are you doing ?
Pretty good. Excited about the tournament tonight :)

What are your feelings towards the upcoming ASRock Challenge?
The 1st rounds map cp_freight is one of our best maps. When we have been playing our best we have been able to keep skilled teams busy ;) But dont get any expectations! We can still mess everything up :D

You might be facing some of the best teams of EU in this tourmanets, excited?
Div1 Team would be nice :) Maybe we could learn couple tips from them by reading their game and learn what we might be doing wrong.

Good luck in the tourmanet and most of all have fun! And yeah you can say your famous last words if you have some.
Dignitas here we come, lol!

Let’s all wish them good luck in ASRock Challenge!

RCTIC eSports adds TF2 team!

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Hello our fellow fans! Today we’re bringing you some good news regarding our organization as we have decided to take a Finnish Team Fortress 2 team under our wings! The team itself was previously known as Blacklisted. The team itself is quite new team as it’s formed like about one month ago and therefor they of course aren’t so well-known yet. You will see them attending several LANs in the future and maybe at the upcoming Solid-lan later on this spring.

Statement by Jack “JackieBoy” Tarvajärvi
“It was a shock when we were contacted by RCTIC and asked that what do we think of this deal. At first we was like “wtf?” but then we realised that what’s going on and thought that it’s now or never and here we are! I personally like really much of RCTIC’s way that they don’t recruit top teams but instead they want to help teams with potential to get to top level.”

RCTIC.tf2 consists of

  • [flag fi] Santeri “sanhu” Valkeejärvi
  • [flag fi] Jack “JackieBoy” Tarvajärvi
  • [flag fi] Otto “WRYYY” Kivikärki
  • [flag fi] Timo “Taimou” Kettunen
  • [flag fi] Jeremias “zermu” Heinonen
  • [flag fi] Anders “vitalis” Anderssen

Supersunday

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

This weekend was a crazy one to be honest. I am feeling pretty proud that our Counter-Strike:Source team finished 4th at Winter Assembly 2010.  What can I say? They played well and went to the semifinals, but KOJOTSONLINE and troublemakerz was too much for them, maybe next time! The next even will be SOLID LAN event or something else, I am not sure yet but I’ll be there. The timing of winter assembly was bad for me personally since I’ve got so much to do in personal life ( new apartment etc) that I just couldn’t find the time.

You think that the team was only one working at weekend? I gotta say no for that one. Me and k3mpo been spamming our facebook profile like crazy with updates from the event and I’ve been working with our temporary website at the same time.  Well I had fun doing that!

One thing at the winter assembly made me quite sad, there was no Call of Duty competition. Well ok mw2 messed things up pretty bad, but still cod4 competition would be so awesome.  Ok the main reason is that the scene is splitted up.. mw, mw2, cod2, waw. What they should pick? Well maybe at summer assembly. So the missing cod competition made me do some sadface but tf2 made me smile, it is just fun to watch, personally I suck at it and badly, but it is just so awesome to watch. Fast gameplay, great graphics and with shoutcasting from wabbit its gooooood.

Since my blog starts to loose its grip, I think its time to stop this. Peace!
