So as propably everyone knows we were attending Insomnia LAN at Pori last weekend. It was first proper LAN event I have ever attended to so I was pretty excited about it. I travelled with mafu from Power Gaming as he also lives in Vaasa. He really is a nice guy and we had pretty nice trip to Pori and back, thanks for the ride mafu!

So, lets talk a bit about the LAN itself and the games we had. Well, there ain’t really that much to say. Fast games and internet problems sum the whole event up pretty good. Only proper game we had was against Refuse and that also was a bit fucked up because of the internet problems Insomnia was having. Despite all the problems I felt like the match against Refuse was one of the best games I have ever played because the feeling I had during playing was completely different comparing to online games. So thanks to Refuse for one of the best matches of my life!

Our organization has recently faced some big chances within the gaming teams. Our Day of Defeat: Source which has been part of our organization nearly as long as RCTIC have just existed, have decided to call it a day and go their separate ways and look for new challenges.

Since Day of Defeat: Source is quite old game by now, the scene isn’t too big nowadays which makes it harder to recruit new players who has some skills and knowledge about the game. And due to this fact, our team have decided to call it a day and stop playing together. Crossi, zr0 and zagge will continue their journey in scene of DoD:S while others will be looking for new challenges from other games like TF2, HoN or SC2.

This sunday is big day for one of RCTIC’s little babies, because today our long time manager and Day of Defeat Source team leader Joonas “RydeR” Järvinen, is having his 21st Birthday and therefore we would like to wish him a Happy Birthday!

Joonas has been part of my and Toni’s multigaming organizations for long time. He has helped us in many problems and he has been a great support in many things. Joonas and his mohawk have been indispensable help in our organizations and i really hope we’ll never lost him.

I wish really happy birthday for Joonas and have a extremely happy and nice day with your family and girlfriend and especially with your great mohawk!
