Today is big day for RCTIC eSports as we’re officially making our comeback into Finnish Counter-Strike: Source scene. Our new Source team was previously known as FEISTY. They are young players, who has the motivation and potential to rise in the scene and in future fight against top teams of Source scene. And those are the features in teams we appreciate. The team we are welcoming into our organization has been in trial for a while for now but now it has become the time to officially welcome this team to our organization!

A new season of ClanBase EuroCup has begun and RCTIC won’t be missing it! RCTIC.css was invited to EC XXII CS:S Defuse with 23 other teams. There are four groups, each consisting of six teams. RCTIC eSports’s group is the following:

Team’s first match will be against 2easy on Sunday 10. October at 21:00 (EET). Rest of the matches will be scheduled later. You can follow how the cup is proceeding from the ClanBase EC’s site which can be found here. From the navigation you can find everything you want to know about it.

Sunday: a great day for double-elimination brackets. Our CS:S team made it through the group stage by taking two important victories against MIPC Organisation & Team Ulti-mat. At bracket our first opponent was team Firstfrag.

Firstfrag played well on de_dust2 and managed to defeat RCTIC by score 16:8. After first winner bracket games had interesting chapter going on. CKRAS, eXelon, RCTIC and Menace.fi had all lost their matches and were eliminated to losers bracket. This raised lots of conversation in esports scene over the Europe but it’s a good thing to have some variety to Finnish esports scene

Today the second edition of ESPC 2010 kicked off in Helsinki, Finland. This edition contains total of seven different games from what three are on PC and console. Last but not least there was a dancing tournament, which ended yesterday. We have one team taking part at this LAN and it’s of course our Counter-Strike: Source team.

First day of CS:S tournament included the groupstage and playoffs will be played tomorrow. Groupstage included three groups with four team each and each group’s top two gets direct spot into playoffs. Also two teams from 3rd place will make it to playoffs, however these teams will be selected by the round difference. Below you can find the results of first day!

One week ago we reported that our Counter-Strike: Source team which is currently stand-in, was selected to take a part in ESL Pro Series Season 3 along with numerous Nordic’s top teams. The groupstage of this season starts on 2nd of September. All groupstage matches will be played during 13 different dates with last date being 11th of November. EPS Season 3

ESL Pro Series Season 3 will be starting by the end of this month and therefor ESL has released list of teams whom have been selected to participate in Season 3 of Pro Series. This season will feature total of 14 teams and this list includes some well-known teams in European CS:S scene like CKRAS Gaming, DSRack, H2k Gaming and Reason Gaming. As some of you might have noticed our CS:S and CoD4 squads have been left the organisation because of many player changes and lack of motivation. We want to thank them for their contribution for our organisation and wish good luck for their future.

But today we are also glad to announce our new CS:S squad which will be playing under our tag at ESPC. After a while of negotiations we saw that this team would be the best choise to represent us in the future. So we will have them as team in trial from now on since the lenght of their trial period hasn’t been decided and we see the trial period essential since the situation of the teams of Finnish eSports scene is too unstable at present and we don’t want to take that risk anymore where the team which has been directly taken in starts to change its players or alternatively fold after a month of active playing.

The Finnish eSports website, Gaming.fi, have announced a list about Finland’s top 8 Counter-Strike: Source teams and our team is featured in this list. The list is last month’s toplist but there’s new list coming sometime soon after Solid Mojo LAN-event. All teams were asked about their opinion on what’s top5 like so this list have been made based on team’s votes. Next list is however made with the help of an committee so team’s won’t most likely have a chance to say their opinions anymore.

A finnish LAN-event called Solid Mojo is coming nearer and nearer as there’s only 17 days before the event kicks off! The organizers behind competitions at Solid Mojo have released what teams have been chosen to take a part in NON-BYOC tournaments.
