Friday with SaMZ

May 25th, 2010

I have had some problems with publishing photos for long time now. Reasons behind this are that I am too hard on myself, I’m excepting too much from them. But now i’m always trying to publish some amount of photos from events/trips relating to our organization. Just to make sure that i can publish photos easier in future.

By last Friday I once again headed over to Helsinki to discuss about all the stuff with Sami. And on this weekend we managed to make our first videoblog where we were explaining a bit about our organizations situation at the moment. By that day we also decided to meet one of our sponsors and after that we decided to play some minigolf.

On the road again!

May 7th, 2010

It has been a while since I wrote my last blog. I have been really busy with lots of stuff which have forced me to spent even more time IRL and put things on top priority. Happily weekends offer valuable time to get things rolling. There is only one week before Solid Mojo and there is still so much to do with preparing for this LAN.

Last friday we visited the champs at Pelaajan Valinta. The drive from Helsinki to Lappeenranta took a couple of hours so we had time to talk about the things happened in the past month and also of course talk about the future plans. For our favor the weather was really good and we had the time to enjoy good company and the sun.

I had early wake up in the morning so I was in Helsinki by 12am, so we arrived in Lappeenranta about 3 hours later (around 3pm). When we arrived, we had always so friendly Johnny and Kalle waiting for us. Of course they offered some fresh coffee to us which was good as we drank few cups of it while talking about businesses.

Time went quite fast when we were talking about things done lately and so on, but we got all needed stuff handled after all. The purpose of the visit was to pick up some goods, so then was time for packing. SaMZ’s small but roomy car was a just perfect in this situation as we had almost ten boxes to take with us.

We started heading back to Helsinki in afternoon. The meeting was a success and the trip went fine while listening to music. We were really happy and smiling and meanwhile also chatting about future plans. Also enjoying the evening sun was nice and it caused our spirit to rise up.

On our way back to Helsinki, we took few breaks from driving to chill for a moment. While having breaks, we decided few things. At first, we’re aiming to write a blog every two weeks, both of us. The other thing is that we’re going to get some pictures with both of us even if needed to use autoshoot in camera.

This is how you get things rolling!

Enjoy the ride

March 28th, 2010

Right before the ESPC I think it’s proper to tell something about our plans. Things have been going fast back and forth and there is no time to even see what’s going on. There isnt enough time for everything, so we have been forced to priorize our tasks. Still our notebooks are full of plans and we are trying to get them done, little by little.

So what’s going on in the organization?

What comes to the content, our accents have been going for visual materia from events. Our hard drives have several hours of videomaterial from lan events and bootcamps, where they are waiting for editing. So you should wait for lots of new videos and what comes to the text content, we are trying to boost them up with some amazing photography. A new videocamera is in “must have list”, so hopefully we will get some funds for that ASAP.

In these past weeks, we’ve been designing our new website and the first raw versions been done. There are still some arguements within management, but the main point is to bring out something fresh and as you know things don’t happen’ in couple of days, so pation is required even though we would like to offer you something more already.

How’s our games going?

I must say that I am feeling privileged that I can play in such a great team. The passions and persistence that glows from our players is infectious. It’s cool to walk home from work knowing that the same people are still swiping their mice and going for the top even though the day before hasn’t gone so well.

On the other hand I am bit sad that we had to change a player after january’s events, but at this moment I can say that our team is more balanced and the team spirit is rising. What comes to our team play and tactics, well.. they need to be whet. There has been lots of progress and our goals are being build up and focused on the coming fall.

On spring and summer our plans is to get as much experience as we can get from finnish tournaments and at the same time to rise our team spirit with RCTIC parties. Our next event, where you can see us will be this weekend at Helsinki. After the upcoming ESPC 2010, our plan is to visit couple of events before fall.

Final Words..

Last week me and SaMZ were driving a long way to see one of our sponsor. While sitting in the car and rolling our thumbs we noticed again that the destination is just a part of the journey. So let’s enjoy the ride with open heart! The road will not end short.

RCTIC eSports Club welcomes two new sponsors!

October 1st, 2009
We here at RCTIC eSports Club are happy to announce two new sponsorship deals!

First off, let’s introduce other one from two new sponsors, Pelaajan Valinta. Pelaajan Valinta is a Finnish company, which has webmarket where they sell games to PC and different consoles, and also some other hardware stuff.

Our second new sponsor is Talousmarkka. Talousmarkka is a Finnish company, which brings a lot of stuff from Asia and Europe and then sells them in Finland with good results. For us they’re sponsoring a place for bootcamps where our teams can practise for LANs.

We are extremely happy that these two companies have decided to start a sponsorship with us and we hope that these deals would last for long time.
