RCTIC enters the scene of CS 1.6!

February 8th, 2010

Hello our fellow fans! Once again we have some great news for you guys as we have decided to add one more gaming-team under our wings and this time we are bringing in Counter-Strike 1.6 team! The team we’re adding under our wings is a finnish team which was created around five to six years ago. During that time their lineup have changed few times but with this moment’s lineup they have been playing for few years now. And this team is none other than [flag fi] waterloo! They have been doing great in both, online and offline and we’re really looking forward working with these guys!

Statement by Management member, snd:
“The year 2010 has started with a speed of light for RCTIC eSports club. First was the addition of our Team Fortress 2 team and now is the time to expand our horizon once more with addition of Counter-Strike 1.6 team. The team has everything that we are looking for. They are motivated, potential and all around nice guys. So without further ado I’d like to introduce RCTIC CS!”

Statement by Rami “caqtRr” Valve:
“We are very pleased to join RCTIC eSports! I believe that this organisation is the thing we have been looking for, as RCTIC has the attitude, the style and the professional grip that gives us the much-needed trust and faith – but it also gives us opportunities to accept new chances and the right spirit to challenge i.e. whole Europe. Our team consists of friendships. For example I, frieze and fooze have known each other and played together for seven years and there’s no signs of getting bored with it. We’ve had so much fun and we are constantly looking for new ways to challenge ourselves. I hope and believe that with RCTIC organisation we can do well and be successful, and of course we will try to bring about the same and more by creating us a good reputation and fame. From now on, keeping our minds open.”

Brand new CS 1.6 team of RCTIC eSports consists of

DoD:S team placed 4th in EMS Season V playoffs

February 4th, 2010

Yeah, that’s right! Our very own Day of Defeat: Source team have been taking a part in ESL’s Major Series Season V. They managed to make it throught of groupstage into the playoffs and in the end, they placed 4th!

On first round of playoffs they faced FirstFrag, who sent our team to lower brackets. There our boys first met team named Satan666 and unfortunately our team lost that match too which ment that our boys took 4th place in this season’s playoffs. But overall, it’s really great placement so congrats for our DoD:S team!

RCTIC starts a partnership with Team Menace.fi

February 2nd, 2010

In finnish eSports scene there is never enough of friends. Our Counter-Strike: Source team has been good friends with equivalent team from another finnish organization, Team Menace.fi. After managers from both organizations met at Assembly Winter 2010 LAN earlier this year, we have decided to start partnership, which will surely benefit both parties. So for now on you can see news of Team Menace.cs:s here at rctic.org and our news at team-menace.org.

Team Menace.fi is finnish multigaming organization which main target is to be Finlands’ best team on all competitive games. The organization was born in year 2006 from the ashes of Battlefield 2 team. Currently Team Menace.fi has two different gaming teams: Call of duty 4 and Counter Strike: Source.

recci joins up with our CS:S team!

February 2nd, 2010

Hello our fellow fans! As you surely have noticed, our CS:S team have permormed quite well lately. For example, they surprised lots of people who were following [flag fi] Winter Assembly 2010 event as they managed to make it to playoffs with only one round difference to [flag fi] eXelon Gaming. In playoffs then faced two better teams but still they managed to place 4th, which was really great job from our guys!

But, unfortunately, our team faces some changes now.. [flag fi] Harath has decided to stop active playing and therefor he left the team. So, of course our team started immediately looking for replacement for Harath and after some testing they have found the player who completes our CS:S team’s lineup again. And this player is none other than [flag fi] Aleksi “recci” Ahonen, who has played in our team and also in Afterlife in the past.

Statement by Sami “SaMZ” Lönnberg:
“After Harath decided to quit playing cs:s active we had to start looking for new player to replace him. We had many possibilites, who could replace him but after all recci was the best choice as he has been part of our team in the past and fits the team really well with his peacefull playing-style.”

Statement by Aleksi “recci” Ahonen:
“Playing CS:S started to interest again and then SaMZ contacted me if I was interested in of the open spot in their team. It was easy decision to join up with them as I know some of the players already and that they are doing their job well. I was having a break from gaming due to irl commitments and Im focusing on this team as much as needed.”

[flag fi] Janne “zwhR” Mikkola

We wish good luck for our great teammate Harath, what ever he decides to do in the future!

RCTIC eSports adds TF2 team!

January 26th, 2010

Hello our fellow fans! Today we’re bringing you some good news regarding our organization as we have decided to take a Finnish Team Fortress 2 team under our wings! The team itself was previously known as Blacklisted. The team itself is quite new team as it’s formed like about one month ago and therefor they of course aren’t so well-known yet. You will see them attending several LANs in the future and maybe at the upcoming Solid-lan later on this spring.

Statement by Jack “JackieBoy” Tarvajärvi
“It was a shock when we were contacted by RCTIC and asked that what do we think of this deal. At first we was like “wtf?” but then we realised that what’s going on and thought that it’s now or never and here we are! I personally like really much of RCTIC’s way that they don’t recruit top teams but instead they want to help teams with potential to get to top level.”

RCTIC.tf2 consists of

  • [flag fi] Santeri “sanhu” Valkeejärvi
  • [flag fi] Jack “JackieBoy” Tarvajärvi
  • [flag fi] Otto “WRYYY” Kivikärki
  • [flag fi] Timo “Taimou” Kettunen
  • [flag fi] Jeremias “zermu” Heinonen
  • [flag fi] Anders “vitalis” Anderssen

RCTIC dod:s +-0

January 25th, 2010

Our Day of Defeat:Source squad has added a new member to their lineup. Since Tatu “taateli” Helander is quitting dod:s after EMS our team was in need of a talented rifle and who would suit better than Mika “crossi” Arttonen. Crossi has experience in such teams as Afterlife and Entropy and will definitely bring something new to our team!

Statement from Joonas “RydeR” Järvinen
“Since taateli will be leaving us after EMS and tepa is starting to play as heavy we  needed a talented rifle and crossi is what we need. He is an experienced guy with lots of motivation and talent. He is the perfect fit for our lineup.”

We shall see what kinda future will follow us after this lineup change, but best of luck to crossi and taateli.
